Cassino Commonwealth Cemetery

Visiting Cassino Battlefields one of the most evocative location is the Commonwealth War Cemetery. Here are buried various nationalities who fought and died not only for the liberation of Italy but the entire Europe.

It is a very poignant visit and it is a must visit site. Over 4200 soldiers are buried who died in the area of Cassino and 4000 are the missing in action from Sicily to the Alps are remembered here at the Cassino war Cemetery, the largest in Italy. 

Within the cemetery stands the CASSINO MEMORIAL which commemorates over 4,000 Commonwealth servicemen who took part in the Italian campaign whose graves are not known.
